Mentors

Help students go from passing exercises to building real things

We are looking for developers, engineers and educators who can give a few hours to school coding clubs across Rwanda. No teaching experience needed, just what you know and some patience.

Ways you can help

Pick what suits your time. One workshop or one judging panel is already worth a lot to a club.

  • Review student projects

Give feedback on hackathon projects and club work: what is good, what to fix, and what to learn next.

  • Judge a hackathon

Sit on a judging panel and help decide placements for school teams.

  • Run a workshop

Teach a club a practical session from your own field, in person or online.

  • Talk about careers

Show S5 and S6 students what working in tech is really like, and what to learn to get there.

Offer to mentor

Send us a short email about yourself and how you would like to help. We will reply to find where you fit best: a club, a hackathon or a workshop.

Or write to info@solvit.africa directly.
